Proverbs 16:3
There are also areas of your life -- empty places in which nothing is happening -- where you can tackle this challenge.
Commit to the Lord whatever you do and your plans will succeed. (Proverbs 16:3)
  • The first is the idea of giving it all to God.
  • Whose glory are you most concerned about -- yours, or God's?
  • "There's no limit to what you can accomplish if you won't concern yourself with who gets the credit."
  • Your greatest achievements quite possibly won't bear your signature.
  • "Commit your plans to God" means that you want Him to get the glory, not you.
  • You dedicate yourself to the work.
  • The word commit means that you decide to stay with it as long as it takes to succeed.
  • He had to endure setbacks, criticism, threats, grumbling, and quitters.
  • You can commit both big and little things to God.
  • You can't pick and choose.
  • The 20% you hang on to ends up causing about 80% of your problems.
3. DO.
  • You cannot experience success without doing something.
  • "Remember, nothing happens until somebody sells something."
  • You can't dream your way to success. You have to take action.
  • "All hard work brings a profit, but mere talk leads only to poverty." (Proverbs 14:23)
  • This word PLANS implies purpose, direction, focus.
  • The question is: what steps will we take to see that it happens?
  • Having a goal is just the beginning; it is useless without a strategy for getting there.
  • Success can be defined as getting the results God wants you to get.
  • To be successful means to be effective in what you do.
  • God has shown you in this simple verse of scripture how to make something out of nothing.
