Listen to the Message

Colossians 2:8-16
We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them.
Change your thoughts you'll change yourself.
"to be made new in the attitude of your minds..." (Ephesians 4:23)
It changes you.
God has provided a way of dealing with sin that destroys its stronghold on our lives once and for all.
Paul boldly states that everything we need we have in Christ.
1. The fullness of God
  • Christ is the fullness of God
  • You have access to Him
  • When you have a relationship with Christ, you have
  • God on your side.
2. Forgiveness of Sins
  • To believe in forgiveness, we must first believe in sin.
  • The fact that God offers us forgiveness is evidence that we need forgiveness.
  • Admitting that we have a problem with sin is admitting that we need a savior.
  • If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9)
  • When He died on the cross, He paid the price for all of your sins.
  • There are still consequences to deal with.
3. Freedom From the Law
  • Through Christ we have been forgiven
  • The law of love.
  • Your salvation is no longer dependent upon your ability to keep the law.
  • In Christ, you have everything you need.
  • But freedom to strive to become like Jesus.
  • Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth, Thine own dear presence to cheer and to guide,
  • Strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow — Blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside!
  • God, I need you.
  • Developing a new way of thinking is the hardest work you'll ever do.
  • Because when you change your thoughts, your turn your life right side up.
  • Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. (Romans 12:2)
