Listen to the Message
Proverbs 3:5-6
"A proverb a day keeps the stupid away."
(v. 5-6) Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.
You've got to learn to put your trust in God.
#1. When things happen that you don't understand.

When life takes an unexpected turn you don't have to understand everything that's happening.

When things happen that you don't understand, that is when you need to put your trust in God.
-
He had a plan greater than they could have imagined, but they weren't focused on God's plan.

You don't have to understand, you only have to trust God.
#2. When you are faced with a decision.

We need to turn to Him for guidance on any decision we make.
-
Leaving God out of one area of your life can lead to the destruction of the other areas.

The way you manage the different areas of your life comes down to the kind of decisions you make.

Making a decision the way God wants you to is a way of trusting God.
#3. When the future seems uncertain.

(v. 6) And He will make your paths straight.

If your future seems uncertain, He can handle it with certainty.

This verse isn't saying that He will make your life easy; it means that He will make your life focused.

We see ourselves in the multi-faceted terms of what God is accomplishing through us.
#4. What does it mean to trust God?

Trust and obey, For there's no other way
-
To be happy in Jesus but to trust and obey.

By obeying God, you show that you trust Him.

It is a leap of faith.
