Listen to the Message

Psalm 145
If I'm elected, I will do this, that, and the other.
In politics, promises made don't always mean promises kept.
I want to talk to you about the One whose promises are never broken and never forgotten.
The experience of God's promises today and the joyful expectation of God's promises tomorrow.
1. Believe That All Really Means All
  • 13. ......The Lord is trustworthy in all He promises and faithful in all He does.
  • God does not show favoritism but accepts from every nation the one who fears Him and does what is right. (Acts 10:34-35)
  • All of God's promises are meant for all of God's people.
  • He is a "try me, test me, prove me" kind of God.
  • I will take the promises of God serious enough to believe all of them.
2. Trust That God Knows Which Time is the Right Time.
  • "At the proper time, " and not "at the preferred time."
  • A promise-filled life is part experience and part joyful expectation.
  • There will be seasons of your life when you're living in expectation of the fulfillment of one of God's promises.
  • "If I can't experience it right this minute, then God's promises must not be real, and I can't count on Him."
  • You're willing to embrace the seasons of anticipation as well as the seasons of realization.
  • But as for me, I watch in hope for the Lord, I wait for God my Savior; my God will hear me. (Micah 7:7)
3. Here's How You Can Live Today In Joyful Expectation.
  • Make praise an every day endeavor.
  • It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord and to sing praises unto your name, O Most High.
  • To shew forth thy loving kindness every morning and thy faithfulness every night. (Psalm 92:1-2 KJV)
  • It's not a once-in-a-while-when-you-feel-like-it thing.
  • Make it a topic of conversation.
  • It will do you good to say it; it will do others good to hear it.
  • Make it a focus of meditation.
  • Make it a cause for celebration.
  • Don't waste your season of waiting griping and whining and complaining.
  • 18 The Lord is near to all who call on Him, to all who call on Him in truth.
  • "But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him." (Luke 15:20)
  • The Lord is near to all who call on Him.
  • God is as close as your next word.
  • Experience the fullness of His presence in your life today.
