Listen to the Message

I know I can do better than I do, I just never have.

Reservoir of untapped potential

How we can begin to tap into our full potential.

The fact is that our potential is so much cheater than many of us can imagine.

“You have the potential to do this, so do it.”

There’s no limit to what God can do through you.

1. Who You Are in Christ
  • The core of who you are has been settled at the cross.
  • “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: the old has gone, the new is here!” 2 Corinthians‬ ‭5:17‬ ‭NIVUK‬‬
  • “For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light” Ephesians‬ ‭5:8‬ ‭NIVUK‬‬
  • He didn’t say “You’re a little bit light and a little bit dark, so work on it.”
  • This is who you are: a new creation in Christ.
  • “Do I have it in me to be a good person?”
  • You can be who God created you to be.
2. Where Your Potential Can Take Take You.
  • This is where God is taking you.
  • Good.
  • Right.
  • True.
3. How to Walk in the Light.
  • You can do this because you are light.
  • Rather than to indulge your own desires, focus on living to please God.
  • “But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God’s holy people.” ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭5:3‬ ‭NIVUK‬‬
  • Paul says that this attitude of indulging your desires isn’t fitting for Gods people.
  • Luke 22:42
  • Rather than making conversation about matters that are out of place, focus on making each conversation about the goodness of God.
  • Talk about things that are uplifting.
  • Just because you thought doesn’t mean you have to say it.
  • Rather than being influenced by the world around you focus on sharing your light with others.
  • “But everything exposed by the light becomes visible – and everything that is illuminated becomes a light.”
  • ‭Ephesians‬ ‭5:13‬ ‭NIVUK‬‬
  • We defeat the darkness with the power of the light.
  • You can tap into your full potential in Jesus Christ.
  • You adopt a rather than strategy.
