Listen to the Message
Genesis 1
Genesis has the most memorable opening phrase in the history of opening phrases.
"It was the best of times; it was the worst of times."
"It was a bright cold day in April, and the clocks were striking thirteen."
"All children, except one, grow up."
"If you're looking for a self-help book or a Bible study, this isn't that book."
"Today you became a father.....and you find yourself reflecting, for the first time, on what an awesome responsibility it is to parent a child."
There's only one way to say it.
You'll find good people making questionable life choices and regrettable spur-of-the-moment decisions.
How our loving Heavenly Father can bring redemption and restoration into the most difficult of situations.
1. God created the world with intention.
-
"Let there be light"
-
After all this, God said that it was good.
-
How many are your works, Lord! In wisdom you made them all... (Psalm 104:24)
2. God loves His creation.
-
"God saw that it was good."
-
It can be argued today that the world is a mess.
-
May the glory of the Lord endure forever; may the Lord rejoice in his works... (Psalm 104:31)
-
The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of His hands. (Psalm 19:1)
3. God wants us to love what He loves and who He
loves.
-
"... the land is mine and you reside in my land as foreigners and strangers." (Leviticus 25:23)
-
He wants us to love the people who were created in His image.
-
Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. (1 John 4:7)
-
His creation reflects and reveals His beauty, His glory, and His majesty.
-
The earth is the Lord's, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it... (Psalm 24:1)
