Matthew 2:10, 11
1. Frankincense symbolizes Jesus as the Great High Priest.
2. Myrrh represents Jesus as the Suffering Servant or the Lamb of God.
3. Gold symbolizes the Kingship of Jesus.
1 Timothy 6:15 “For at just the right time, Christ will be revealed from Heaven by the blessed and Almighty God, the King of all Kings, and the Lord of all Lords.”
#1. “Can anything good come from Nazareth?”
Jesus would confront the hypocrisy of the Pharisees again and again.
“It is finished”
This baby that we celebrate was born to bring hope to all mankind.
That’s the power of spiritual blindness.
#2. There is another group that’s common today who dismiss Jesus altogether.
Micah 5:2 “But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for me One who will be ruler over Israel, whose origins are from the old, from ancient times.”
They don’t take the time to read the Word of God,
which is life and power and brings hope.
#3. Finally, the third group was the Wise Men.
They gave gold to Jesus, acknowledging Him as King.
They brought with them their valuables, the best of the best.
We bow down and we worship.
This King, born of a virgin in poverty, walked into a world that would reject Him, but He never gave up.
“Into Your Hands, Heavenly Father, I commit My Spirit; it is finished ”
“Whoever believes in Him will not die but will have eternal life.”
(He’s My King)
That’s My King!!!!
