Psalm 23:1-6

#1. Adam and Eve messed up in the Garden.

"They sure messed it up; they messed it up for all of us."

Psalm 23:5 – You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.

Yet, the table is prepared and placed in the presence of my enemies.

1 Peter 5:8 (NIV) “Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a lion looking for someone to devour.”

#2.  Our Situations

"Why did you expose me to the lies of the enemy?"

They were warned about the deception of the enemy.

We suffer the results of their bad decision.

Verse 5, "You anoint my head with oil and my cup overflows."

Verse 6 "Surely Your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life."

"I will not allow you to destroy me."

"I will not entertain deceptive thoughts in my mind."

"I will not allow the enemy to threaten me."

"I will not allow the lion to break my will."

There is no seat for you at our table.

They began to sing praises to the Lord.

“Even though.”

"I will still be joyful and glad because the Lord God is my Savior and I have not lost my faith."

“I will praise the Lord.”

#3. Hearing God’s voice

The Good Shepherd comes through the gate and His sheep know His voice.

You never learn the value of the security that you have in Jesus unless you've learned to fight the enemy and overcome it.

Jesus says that's bondage.

The Good Shepherd is there at your table.

Your dreams begin to become reality.

Your faith begins to grow.

Your ability to push the enemy back by the power of God's Word gets stronger.

You can feel a fresh fire in your bosom, and you choose not to be afraid, even though you're in the presence of the storms of your life.

It's not an invitation to gluttony; it is a feast that satisfies your deepest longings.

But when you sit at the table with the Good Shepherd, it becomes a holy place.

The truth will set you free from the trap of the enemy.

"You have no place to sit at my table."

"You have no place at my table to create doubt and unbelief in my heart."

"You have no place at my table to bring me defeat and anything less than what God has given to me."
