2 Chronicles 16:9

That is called commitment.

It just takes a committed few.

I believe the answer is spiritual.

Commitment is what turns dreams into reality.

Weak people are controlled, dominated, and directed by their circumstances.

Strong people are directed and determined by their commitments.

2 Chronicles 16:9 "The eyes of the Lord search the whole earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to Him."

#1. I must commit my life to Christ.

He made you with the capacity to know Him.

Who am I going to live for?

Romans 10:9 (NLT) “If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”

Every commitment you make has a cost and price tag.

"Is the benefit worth the cost?"

#2. I must commit to being a member of His family.

1 Peter 1:3 (LB) “God has given us the privilege of being born again so that we are now members of God’s own family.”

Romans 12:10 “Be devoted to one another.”

#3. I must commit to being a model of the life of Christ.

God wants us to learn to make decisions the way Jesus made them.

It’s a difficult process that will take the rest of your life.

Hebrews 6:1 (LB) "Let us go on and become mature in our understanding as strong Christians ought to be."

The answers to life are in God’s Word, the Bible.

Proverbs 23:12 (NLT) "Commit yourself to instruction; attune your ears to hear words of knowledge."

I Timothy 3:9 (NLT) "They must be committed to the revealed truths of the Christian faith and must live with a clear conscience."

#.4 I must commit to being a minister of His grace.

1 Peter 4:10 (LB) "God has given each of you special abilities. Be sure to use them to help each other, passing on to others God's many kinds of blessings."

Matthew 20:28 (LB) "Your attitude must be like My own, for I, the Messiah, did not come to be served, but to serve."

"It is time to replace the image of success with the image of service."

The highest form of worship is the worship of unselfish Christian service.

#5. I commit to being a messenger of His love.

We are Christ's ambassadors.

Sometimes, you’re the only Bible some people will ever read.

"It's not for you to know the time or the seasons. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, and you will be My witnesses in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and the uttermost parts of the world."

2 Peter 3:15 (LB) “Remember why He is waiting. He is giving us time to get His message of salvation out to others.”

Romans 8:3 (LB) “We aren’t saved by knowing the commandments of God because we can’t and don’t keep them. But God put into effect a different plan to save us. He sent His own Son in a human body like ours and destroyed sin’s control over us by giving Himself as a sacrifice for our sins.”

Titus 2:14 (NLT) “He gave His life to free us from every kind of sin, to cleanse us, and to make us His very own people, totally committed to doing what is right.”

Psalm 37:5 (LB) “Commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust Him to help you do it, and He will.”

Let’s be committed!
