Hebrews 11:7-9
Why did God choose Noah?
Noah was a "one-in-a-million."
2 Chronicles 16:9 "For the eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to Him."
Noah found favor in the eyes of the Lord.
#1. God uses available people.
Availability is more important than ability.
Your attitude is more important than your aptitude.
They're not super talented but ordinary people with faults and hangups like us.
God plans to use ordinary people like you and me to get
His work done.
#2. God uses people who dare to be different.
He dared to be different from a wayward culture.
But Noah was not influenced by those things.
I can tell you that it's because many in leadership lack a moral compass and do everything they can to be political.
What if you were the children of Noah?
Conformity is often the enemy of Christianity.
"The fear of man is a trap."
"He walked with God."
"I don’t care what everybody else does; I’m going to do as God directs."
#3. God uses people who follow Him completely.
Genesis 6:22 "Noah did everything just as God commanded."
Genesis 7:5 "And Noah did all that the Lord commanded him."
How much do you obey God without question?
The Bible says that until the time of the flood, it had never rained on earth.
Noah was at least 500 miles from the largest body of water
Noah was also instructed to get all the animals together.
"Do I follow God’s instructions even when I don’t understand?"
#4. God uses people who never give up.
He is the supreme example of patience, persistence, and determination.
"Then God said, ‘My Spirit will not contend with man forever for he is mortal. His days will be 120 years.'"
"Every day is important, and I will stay committed until it's done?"
But he was persistent.
(1) Problems.
(2) Pressures.
(3) People.
God has a plan.
Be the kind of person who causes others to want to live like you.
"No matter what, I’m going to hang in there!"
God uses ordinary people.
We serve a compassionate God who is forgiving.
Failure never disqualifies you from fulfilling God's plan.
Be an ordinary person who does an extraordinary job for Almighty God!
