Redemption

Luke 24:1-12
The resurrection is the key that brings to life the truth of the message of Jesus.
God desires that every person come to faith in Christ.
John 3:16 (The Message) "This is how much God loved the world: He gave His Son, His one and only Son. And this is why: so that no one need be destroyed; by believing in Him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life."
#1. Religion vs. relationship.
"Why do you seek the living among the dead?"
Jesus is not an institution.
#2. Remember the good stuff.
Luke 24: 6, 7 (NIV) "He is not here; He has risen!
Remember how He told you, while He was still with you in Galilee: ‘The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.'"
This person is entombed in the religion of a social gospel.
"Remember."
Romans 6:23 (NIV) "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."
The Easter story ends not with a funeral, but with a festival.
#3. Simply believe.
Luke 24:11 (NIV) "But they did not believe the women, because their words seemed to them like nonsense."
It's a decision of the mind and heart.
He was alive.
