Job 7:1 (CEV); Romans 5:12
Romans 8:17-18 “Since we are His children, we will possess the blessings He keeps for His family, and we will also possess with Christ what God has kept for Him.”
6. We remind ourselves that God is good and in control.
That creates pain, self-destruction, and bitterness.
"The Holy Spirit is praying for us."
God is using everything for our good.
God wants me to succeed.
God will give me what I need.
Trust that God will never stop loving you.
"I'm convinced that nothing can ever separate us from His love. Death can't, and life can't. The angels can't, and the demons can't.
You will never get away from God's love.
“Why is life so hard? Why do we suffer?”
We live in a broken world.
The cause.
Then Adam and Eve decided they wanted to do what they wanted to do.
Romans 5:12 says “Sin came into the world because of what one man did, and with sin came death.”
Isaiah 53:6 “All of us have strayed away like sheep. We have left God’s path to follow our own paths.”
How many of you like it your way in life ?
Rebellion.
1. Sin.
I want what I want, and I want it now.
2. Transgression.
3. Iniquity.
Psalm 32:5 “I acknowledged my sin to you, and did not cover up my iniquity. I confessed my transgressions and you forgave my guilt.”
The damage.
It’s ruined everything that God made perfect.
1. Damage caused by natural disasters and deformities.
Romans 8:20 (CEV) “Creation is confused…”
Romans 8:22 “All of creation groans with pain…”
2. Physical decay and death.
Ecclesiastes 8:8 “No one can control the wind or stop his own death.”
2 Corinthians 4:16 “Our physical body is becoming older and weaker.”
All they had to do was read the Bible and they would have known that.
1 Corinthians 15:22 “Everyone dies because all of us are related to Adam, the first man.”
I don’t intend to live on this planet forever, and I hope you don’t want to either.
“I’m preparing a place for you that where I am, you will be also.”
3. Emotional distress and disappointment.
Ecclesiastes 2:11 “I tried everything, nothing worked. It’s all meaningless. It’s all one big disappointment.”
Ecclesiastes 1:14-15 “Everything under the sun is meaningless. It’s like chasing the wind. What is wrong cannot be righted. What is missing cannot be recovered.”
You can’t unscramble an egg .
4. Relational differences.
Sin makes you defensive.
You must work at it.
5. Financial and vocational difficulties.
6. Spiritual discontent and darkness.
“Your iniquities have separated you from your God and your sins have hidden His face from you so that He will not hear.”
Ephesians 4:18 (MSG) says, “They have refused for so long to deal with God that they’ve lost touch not only with God but with reality itself.”
John 8:12 “Jesus said, ‘I am the light of the world. If you follow Me, you won’t be stumbling through the darkness because you will have the light that leads to life.’”
