Luke 14:15-24

Make that money!

Why has the love of money become so important?

You can be successful and not be significant.

However, you cannot be significant without being successful.

# 1. High expectations.

All the planning and preparation was done.

Everything for a successful banquet was there.

God had great expectations for you.

Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV) “For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’”

#2. Poor excuses.

God can give us a perfect opportunity and have high expectations for us, but we get to choose how we respond.

Important,

A “must have,”

A real desire.

"Who do you think is the richer man?"

What are some areas that you are too busy in that may be important, but not essential?

#3. Beyond imagination.

“Bring them to the banquet.”

It is about never losing the dream of having the time and relationships with God and others to experience true joy.

The bread and the wine are symbolic of the sacrificial death of Christ.

"This is my body."

"There is power in the blood."

It is also that we get to live in this life free from the power of sin.

This bread and this cup symbolize a supernatural power greater than we have the capacity to understand.
